The American Association for Justice (AAJ) has experts who are the largest law firm representing personal injury victims in the United States. Joining the organization is a natural fit for Malone, who served on the board and executive committee for many years.

As one of the leading experts in the treatment of children and adults with brain injuries, Malone's passion and willingness to share knowledge have proven to be more than worthy of the former. In 2021, he was appointed chair of the AAJ's Traumatic Brain Injury Litigation Group. During his tenure, which ends in 2022, Malone has organized and led numerous courses, including a multi-day conference in Atlanta attended by attorneys and experts from around the country. COVID-19 Judicial Task Force
